Wishing for a New Year full of life and joy
|Looking forward ...|
Find out what is happening at West Moss-side these days?
I'll soon be harvesting the willow as soon as the leaves are off. We have had a colourful autumn so far with a couple of drenchings but no really strong winds for a few weeks now. There have been some beautiful autumn misty days and some stunning sunsets and sunrises. They are getting closer and closer together as we settle in for what ever this winter is going to throw at us.
I am getting back to focussing on the December workshops and thinking about new courses for 2017.
Once again there are two December workshop days - Saturday 3rd December - still a few places on Scottish Birch Craft day with Bryce Reynard and Sunday 4th December - Christmas decorations using small willow, rush and other materials gathered from the farm and Nature Reserve - two wonderful days in the hayloft with the wood burning stove, a lovely lunch and lots of laughs and new friends made.
I am so looking forward to welcoming back Susie Bishop on January 14/15th 2017 for a cane seating weekend workshop. Come and learn the beautiful 6-way lattice pattern work and give a little chair a new lease of life. There are just three places left on this workshop weekend. Then by popular demand Bryce is returning for another beeskep workshop weekend. Though some beautiful bowls were made - so you don't have to be a beekeeper to enjoy working with purple moor grass from the National Nature Reserve using the coiling technique.
