Yoga at West Moss-side

Winter Yoga Workshop

New Year Yoga Detox and De-stress

We all love the festive season but as it comes to an end and the year ahead looms, many of us can be left feeling a little bit out of balance as we contemplate the challenges we face, sometimes setting ourselves unrealistic goals. With the theme of New Year in mind the Winter Workshop will focus on detoxing and de-stressing body and mind. Through the practice of yoga you will come away with a renewed sense of perspective and the energy to face the year ahead and banishing that  “February feeling.”

Krishnamacharya believed that yoga should be adapted not only to the needs of the individual but also to the Kala (season/time) and Desa (surroundings/place). With these principles in mind, West Moss-side is perfect place in which to practice yoga geared toward the Winter months. The workshop will begin at 10am, arrival and tea from 9.30am and is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioner, from complete beginner to more advanced practitioner. The focus will be asana, pranayama and kriyas, and meditation for cleansing, reflection and rejuvenation. We will also be exploring the koshas and how they affect our well being. Lunch will be a special and cleansing West Moss-side  - seasonal, healthy and organic, finishing with a lovely afternoon tea.

Kay Anderson will be leading the workshop on Sunday 30th January 2011 for more information and booking visit http://www.malayoga.co.uk
