| Title |
Creative Basketry with Georgia Crook |
| Description |
Over the weekend you will create an unique basket and maybe a second piece. The workshop will concentrate
on using willow and lots of other hedgerow materials but other materials can also be incorporated into your basket.
Although based upon the application of traditional techniques you will be
producing creative and experimental basketry of both sculptural and functional
form.
Because you will be using materials of your choice the techneques of weaving and forms you will be able to create will vary. Georgia will demonstrate different techniques for different materials. |
About the tutor
|
Georgia uses wild materials found around her home to make her inventive
and unusual baskets. She has had work shown in galleries and
exhibitions all over the British Isles and in Europe, and has a piece
of work in the permanent collection of the National Museums of Scotland...
We're very lucky indeed to have her here. (Kate Sankey)
