Random Bowls and Spheres with Anthea Naylor |
| Description |
A day's workshop will introduce the participants to ways of constructing beautiful shapes but using a random weave technique. How to set the shape, how to chose materials and how to keep the shape growing and moving. By the end of the day you will have created a beautiful bowl to fascinate or a sphere. One participant put a low power light in the sphere for a wonderful table lamp which throws out fantastic shadows.

 Anthea's geese and chicken are full of character. This time of year
there are 1,000s of wild pink-footed geese on the fields - so I wonder
what they will think of the arrival of some willow impersonators! ( Kate Sankey)

Prerequisite knowledge/skills

No previous skills are required to come on this workshop. |
Course format
|
During the course of the day you will learn the skills of constructing a sculptural form which can be applied to other shapes. You will be shown how to do a 'random' weave! Basically its random - but there are tips and tricks to be learnt and coloured willow to chose from to enhance the shape and form.
