| Carving a birch bowl

Wooden Tom comes to West Moss-side... Birch from Flanders Moss turned into beautiful bowls. Tom's passion for wood will inspire and transport you for the day.
You will learn all the green wood skills using the traditional tools and techniques needed to carve your own wooden bowl. This is a great course that is very rewarding and you get to walk away with a beautiful wooden bowl at the end.

| Japanese Block Printing

This is a new and exciting workshop for West Moss-side. Elspeth Lamb works with woodcuts of the Japanese Ukiyo-e tradition. These are absolutely stunning but quite different from European woodcuts. This is because of the ink (watercolour paint) which is used. This will be a true Japanese experience using the traditional knives and of course special fine Japanese kozo papers.
