| Felt Wall-hangings

This is one of three workshops using different felting techniques.
During this one day workshop you will create larger textural pieces as
wall hangings using the fleece from various breeds of sheep,
incorporating items such as shells, beads bits of glass pebbles,
grasses, and textiles from lace to sacking.

| Willow Log Baskets

Using traditional willow basket techniques this workshop will teach you how to make a very strong log basket. Strength is built into the basket in three ways: using larger material, using an 'underfoot' base and the addition of a 'foot' to the base.
Once again the tutor is Catherine Davies, she will be joined by Pascal Carr for this workshop bringing his experience of making strong baskets and coffins.

| Fine Felt Scarves

One day workshop in scarf making where we will look at various different techniques, including a cobweb scarf, a grid scarf and a nuno scarf. How many you make depends on experience and energy. We will look at creating shape and movement in scarves. We will also look at colour and blending. There will be a wealth of beautiful wool, fibres and materials to work with.

| Rush Seating Weekend

This is a weekend for learning the techniques of rush seating. So You know where it is. That wonderful old chair that you couldn't bear to throw away. Its been sitting there for ages waiting for... waiting for Susie Bishop! This is a unique opportunity to learn how to restore rush seating from a master. An immensely practical 2-day workshop with the prospect of taking home more than just a head full of ideas!

This is one of three workshops using different felting techniques.
This workshop will cover 3-D, wet and dry felting techniques to make
..baubles, bangles and bright shiny things. This is a workshop where
you can create pieces of unique jewellery - there is no limit -
bracelets, brooches, ear-rings, corsage, hair adornments all combining
felt techniques with recycling - natural or synthetic!

This is a a special opportunity to work with Georgia on a two day workshop to explore the possibilities of using a variety of willow and hedgerow materials to create special unique baskets and pieces. Georgia is the author of the well used book Basket Making. She has developed the techniques of combining different materials into her baskets, so it is really fantastic that she has agreed to share some of her knowledge here at West Moss-side.
